"Hypnagogia"
Hypnagogia is the transition between wakefulness and sleep. During this state, it's common to experience visual, audio, or other types of hallucinations. It's also common to experience muscle jerks and sleep paralysis.Ā We canĀ purposefully to induce to hypnagogia to stimulate creativity and for channeling of all kinds (Trance).
This liminal state at the edges of sleep frequently results in quasi-perceptual visual, auditory, and tactile phenomena – including bright lights, geometric shapes, felt presences, and voices.
